Hanks’ Fluid
for laboratory use (medium no 199)
Supplemented by appropriate serum, it can be used as growth medium for cell cultures. Sterilised through filtration. Control tests of Hanks’ fluid include sterility, pH (7.1 ± 0.2), osmolarity (280-320 mOsmol/l, suitability for cell cultures. On customer’s demand, the following modifications of Hanks’ fluid can be prepared:
Packaging: bottle, containing 100 or 500 ml of solution
Use-by period: 6 months
Storage: 2°C – 8°C.
