Parker’s Fluid

for laboratory use (medium no 199)

Used as maintenance medium for proliferation of viruses in cell cultures. Supplemented by serum can be used as growth medium for cell cultures, especially applicable for continuous cultures. Produced using Hanks’ salts with L-Glutamine and NaHCO₃ additive. Sterilised through filtration. Control tests of Parker’s fluid include sterility, pH (7.3 ± 0.2), osmolarity (300-330 mOsmol/l, suitability for cell cultures. On customer’s demand, the following modifications of Parker’s fluid can be prepared:

• without phenol red,
• without L-Glutamine,
• without L-Glutamine and phenol red

Packaging: glass bottle, containing 100 or 500 ml of solution

Use-by period: 6 months

Storage: 2°C – 8°C.
