RPMI 1640 Medium

containing L-Glutamine and NaHCO₃; for laboratory use

RPMI 1640 is used as growth and maintenance medium in cell cultures, especially applicable for lymphocyte cultures. Sterilised through filtration. Control tests of RPMI 1640 include sterility, pH (7.2 ± 0.2), osmolarity (270-300 mOsmol/l, suitability for cell cultures. On customer’s demand, the following modifications of RPMI 1640 medium can be prepared:

• without phenol red,
• without L-Glutamine,
• without L-Glutamine and phenol red

Packaging: bottle, containing 100, 250 or 500 ml of solution

Use-by period: 6 months

Storage: 2°C – 8°C.
